This may sound like a no-brainer or obvious to some, but memories are very important in a healthy relationship. Weddings, most especially, are life events which need to be preserved and cherished…and you most definitely achieve this when you have a good photographer standing by to capture those moments.
This article may sound self-serving but there is no excuse in this time and age not to be able to capture the special moments that will happen in your wedding: The bride walking down the aisle holding her father’s arm, being pronounced husband and wife and having your first kiss together as a married couple—there are just too many things happening that it would be impossible to remember all of them. And that’s where your photos come in. It is sad to say that there are engaged couples who decide hastily when it comes to choosing a photographer. The process of selecting the best person to do the job becomes an after-thought. I have met couples who book our team a few weeks before their wedding. Of course, we did a good job, and we were happy to have had the opportunity to serve the couple. What I am saying is that a poor choice may have resulted in memories being thrown by the wayside never to be remembered, which is just sad.
When your wedding day comes, you need to be confident that your photographer would be able to stand up to the challenges and pressures of the day and always get the shot.

When your wedding day comes, you need to be confident that your photographer would be able to stand up to the challenges and pressures of the day and always get the shot. He (or she) should be ready at a moments notice, camera at the ready, anticipating all those brief but precious scenes that will unfold.
So never take your wedding photos lightly. More importantly, the groom should be part of the selection process, not just the person to pay. I have seen a lot of grooms who have nary an idea on what we can do as their photographers. It should be a mutual decision like all marriages should be. Your photos will be with you after everything has been said or done; the band would have stopped playing, the flowers wilted, the food eaten, all that is left are your memories contained in your photos.
